Registration

All registered ethical brands appear in the Ethical Brand Directory. Our non-starter policy denies some organisations the right to register based on the nature of their activities, but generally speaking, registration is accessible to the vast majority of organisations.

Licensing

All of the organisations listed in the Ethical Brand Directory are licensed to display the Ethical Brand Identity™ or logo so that their particular products and services may be instantly recognised as the better options. Registrants graduate from a Limited License during the first 30 days of registration, to a Standard License and optionally to an Extended License that permits product labelling. We take our responsibility seriously, which is why every licensed ethical brand is the subject of our proprietary authentication methodology.

Authentication

Our unique method of authenticating ethical brands has been developed in real-world service settings and in collaboration with more than 100 organisations on every continent. We apply the exact same qualifying criteria to all participating brands - irrespective of their size, industry focus or geographic location. This revolves around the fielding, qualification and validation of feedback from the stakeholders of each registered ethical brand, which is processed in the strictest confidence.

This approach not only provides us with the insight we need to maintain confidence in each of our licensees, but by sharing this insight at the most senior levels of the organisation that is the subject of stakeholder feedback, brand owners who are genuinely committed to the concept of ethical branding are able to maintain a constant vigil over important stakeholder interactions. Genuine ethical brands are qualified by their responsiveness to the expectations of their stakeholders. All licenses are retained by the lack of evidence to the contrary and their continuing commitment to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with membership of a human, civilised, polite and just society.

Advice and Support

Our growing network of Associate Partners is comprised of experienced independent professionals who have been carefully selected, trained and equipped with detailed knowledge of our licensing framework. They are uniquely qualified to assist owners and executives to interpret the ethical brand opportunity; to research, identify, articulate, plan and implement an authentic ethical branding strategy with absolute confidence.
